How to Repurpose a Table Top into Wall Art

In this post I’m sharing How to Repurpose a Table Top into Wall Art.

I had bought this table top at a garage sale a few weeks ago for only $1!

It’s solid wood and just had minor holes where it was attached to table legs.

There’s so many things that could be done with this piece.

I love the potential in blank canvases like this one.

I filled in the holes then set about painting it.

I put 2 coats of navy homemade chalk paint on, then one coat of white paint, and lastly another coat of navy.

I then stenciled the word “Hope” on it using a stencil I got at Hobby Lobby several months ago.

Isn’t it gorgeous?! I love the rustic beauty of this sign.

I then used just a little part of a flower stencil to give the sign a wreath-like outline.

You can read more about this stenciling method in this post.

After everything was painted I took a piece of 220 grit sandpaper and scuffed up the entire piece.

Then I applied clear wax to the entire piece.
