In this post I’ll be sharing How to Repurpose a Ceiling Fan Blade into Ladybug Wall Art.
I’ve been repurposing fan blades and ceiling fan parts for quite some time and believe it or not I still have fan blades and parts left to transform.
This is the end piece of a fan blade that I decided to turn into a ladybug.
First I cut the fan blade piece with a knife to better form a ladybug body.
I used a lid to form the ladybug head.
The lid was painted black. The fan blade was painted red with black dots and the line using the end of a stencil brush.
I also cut a black pipe cleaner into small pieces to make antennae.
I designed a stencil for this project and stenciled it on a wooden plaque.
The JPEG file for the stencil is available at the end of this post and for personal use only.
The piece was put together and here is the end result.
I first laid the ladybug body on the wooden plaque, then put the antennae in place, and the lid to cap it all on.
Then I drilled a screw through the lid, fan blade and plaque to attach it all together and keep it in place.
I hope you have enjoyed this ladybug project.
I had several people ask me how this wooden table top turned into wall art looked hanging up on the wall, so I took a picture to show. I looks quite nice and adds a certain rustic statement to the room.
