I had bought this table top at a garage sale a few weeks ago for only $1! It’s solid wood and just had minor holes where it was attached to table legs. There’s so many things that could be done with this piece. In this post I’m sharing How to Repurpose a Table Top into Wall Art.
I filled in the holes then set about painting it. I put 2 coats of navy homemade chalk paint on, then one coat of white paint, and lastly another coat of navy. I then stenciled the word “Hope” on it using a stencil I got at Hobby Lobby several months ago. My husband used the Hope stencil to trace and carve this sign.
After everything was painted I took a piece of 220 grit sandpaper and scuffed up the entire piece. Then I applied clear wax to the entire piece.
