We encounter a lot of garbage in our lifetime, but how much do you think about turning that trash to treasure? If we start living with the mindset of repurposing, reusing, and removing items, we could see quite the difference in our lives and how that impacts our communities and environments! Even if it’s a change you can’t directly see, each conscious choice to genuinely reduce waste is a great one for the present and future.
To get some perspective, let’s check out this quote from Plastic Oceans International about yearly plastic waste.
“We are producing over 380 million tons of plastic every year, and some reports indicate that up to 50% of that is for single-use purposes – utilized for just a few moments, but on the planet for at least several hundred years.”
-Plastic Oceans International
Although that’s an incredibly daunting number, there are perfectly reasonable things we can do to help! There are more eco-friendly options we can make when it comes to our laundry detergent, but if you’ve already used up your Tide Pods (same!) and you’re looking for a way to repurpose their container so it doesn’t go to the wastelands, we’ve got you covered!
So, how does one turn trash to treasure with tide pods and their containers? Whelp, buckle your crafting seatbelts because we’ve got some pretty neat hacks and DIYs we’re going to dive into. It’s about to get Repurpose Junkie up in here!
