Repurposed Frame into Coffee Tray
I’m slowly working through my frame collection, and one of the things I wanted to do was make a coffee tray out of one of my frames. I saw my friend, Pili, from Sweet Things repurpose a frame into a tray a while back and I loved it. Her tray inspired me to want to make one for the “slowly coming together” coffee station.
First I took the picture frame apart and painted the frame. Then I cleaned the glass, and put it back in the frame. I printed off this lovely printable from my friend Katrin’s blog, KreativK. She has several beautiful printables to browse through on her site. I put the printable in the frame, and closed it up.
My tray is a little different from Pili’s because it is just meant to sit on top of this dresser that is going to serve as the coffee station, so I didn’t add handles. I also wanted the surface of the dresser to be protected so I cut up furniture felt pads and stuck them to the bottom of the frame, just in case the tray gets scooted it won’t scratch the surface.
It now holds the sugar and creamer, as well as the cinnamon and nutmeg. My poor creamer got chipped about a month ago and I haven’t used it since, but it still works nice for a prop.
So what do you think? Do you have a coffee station? Do you have a serving tray made from a frame?
