We took down these posts in our house a while back. So far, I have repurposed pieces from these posts into pumpkins, a turkey, and snowmen. Today I’m delivering some spring critter, bunnies and chicks that were hiding in these posts. Can you see them? In this post I’ll be sharing How to Repurpose Spindles into Easter Décor.
I used a miter saw, and cut 4 of these blocks out of the post.
Then I sanded and painted them yellow and white. I also used yarn to crochet bunny ears and make some sprigs of hair.
I simply hot glued the bunny ears on top of the blocks. For the little chicks, I drilled shallow holes into the top of the yellow blocks and hot glued the yellow hair into the holes. I also painted some cute little faces on them using toothpicks.
Kinda cute, right?!
Do the yellow blocks remind you of a certain toy? It wasn’t until I started taking pictures that I realized it looked an awful lot like a Lego piece.
Do you like to decorate for Easter or spring? Do you make your own decorations? Or do you like to buy them?
Thanks for sharing How to Repurpose Spindles into Easter Décor!!
