Repurposing Garage Door Handles

A while back my husband replaced our vintage garage door with a new one, and when he did I kept all the cool hardware that was on the old one. I made an angel using some of the hinges, and a coat rack using the rollers. Now I’m using the handles to make an organizer of sorts.
First I took the garage door handles and spray painted them black, but ended up going over them with some black latex paint as well.
Then my husband attached the handles onto some of my wood signs I’ve been making. I made this white sign with a stencil I made with my Cricut Machine using the font, Tingler Script and I purchased this beautiful floral embellishments from this Creative Market Shop.
What do you think of these? I’m thinking I could use the handle to hang fabric, ribbon or lace on, in my craft room, or maybe my sewing measuring tape, or even thread some of my tools through the handles. What would you use this organizer for? I made this yellow sign with a stencil I made with my Cricut Machine using the font, Tingler Script and flowers I have hand drawn.
Thanks so much for sharing!!
