Today is the first day of the 30 day challenge, “Thankful for Repurposing.” I’m so glad you have joined me for this first day and I hope you follow along as I post about a different repurposing project for each day in November.
For the first project I’m repurposing 2 sheets wire mesh that came from some cabinet doors, in my father-in-law’s house that he’s remodeling.
I had some empty frames lying around that would be great to pair with the mesh. I painted one frame blue and white and the other a mustard yellow, distressing both frames, after the paint was dry.
I cut the wire mesh with wire cutters to fit the frames.
I then stapled the mesh onto the back of the frames with my heavy duty stapler.
Here’s the blue frame finished. This is perfect for filling with flowers, pictures, or cards.
The yellow one I put some clothespins on it to hold pictures. I found a cute vintage picture from a children’s book that I clipped on there for display, but I’ll probably change it out for some family photos.
What do you think of this first project?
As always, I would love for you to share this!! 🙂
