Table Top Repurposed into Wall Art
I had bought this table top at a garage sale a few weeks ago for only $1! It’s solid wood and just had minor holes where it was attached to table legs. I decided to repurpose the table top into wall art.
I filled in the holes then set about painting it. I put 2 coats of navy homemade chalk paint on, then one coat of white paint, and lastly another coat of navy. I then stenciled the word “Hope” on it using a stencil I got at Hobby Lobby several months ago. My husband used the Hope stencil to trace and carve this sign.
I then used just a little part of a flower stencil to give the sign a wreath-like outline.
After everything was painted I took a piece of 220 grit sandpaper and scuffed up the entire piece. Then I applied clear wax to the entire piece.
Thanks so much for sharing this project!!
