Repurposed Shelf into Jewelry Display
Awhile back my mom gave me 2 old shelves that she used to have hanging in her house, but was no longer using. I used one shelf to display my jewelry. I used the other shelf to organize my daughters’ jewelry. I recently gave their shelf a makeover by sanding it and giving it a few coats of paint. I hung necklaces on the railing of the shelf. I love this aspect of the shelf because the necklaces won’t get tangled and have plenty of room to just hang there.
Most of the necklaces were mine, from when I was a kid. Can you spot the one that needs fixed? I love the color it adds, so it stayed in the picture. 😉
This little pearl pouch was their grandma’s. I have their little earrings in there for safe keeping. None of my girls have pierced ears yet, so this is a nice way to organize the earrings for now. Isn’t this such a lovely, tiny, pearl envelope? My mother-in-law had great taste!
This little cat used to belong to my mom. It is a perfume bottle. This little kitty is doing an excellent job holding those little bracelets. I like that I have 2 things from both the girls’ grandmas that are being used to organize jewelry.
There’s a vintage Strawberry Shortcake plaque displayed on the shelf. The plaque was mine too. I guess we know where my daughters’ get their love for that little character. 😉
I’m loving this pretty way to organize my little ones’ jewelry! How about you?
