Cubby Organizer Makeover
I recently bought some furniture and other decorating items from a friend, one of which was a cubby organizer. My friend was redoing her teenage daughter’s room, and was wanting a fresh look. I have taken several of these pieces and have revamped them to fit in my daughters’ room. Here’s the cubby organizer I obtained from my friend:
I didn’t know what exactly I would do with it until I remembered the Dollar Tree Baskets my mom covered for me. I took the backing off the back of the cubby, painted it an off white and placed the baskets in the spaces. I also took the flowers off the baskets and placed them on the shorter side of the basket.
This is the perfect organizer for my little ones’ socks, diapers, and unders.
At the top of the shelf I placed 2 Coffee Cans that my mom covered with Strawberry fabric. My girls’ stockings are in there.
The middle box has their lost socks. Sometimes those little socks get lost in the diaper bag, or even in the car (does anyone else’s kid take their socks off in the car?) and don’t always make it to the wash at the same time. The box keeps the lonely socks until I find the match.
I love this new cubby organizer…it feels good to get some things organized in the midst of this house remodel!! 🙂
This cubby sits in their closet. I would have expanded my picture, but the rest of the closet isn’t quite as organized or picture ready. 😉
Thanks for checking out this post!!
