The Blogger Recognition Award
I’m really excited about today’s post!! Recently I was awarded with the Blogger Recognition Award by Mary at The Boondocks Blog, and also by Katrin at KreativK. I first want to thank Mary; she has been such a great encouragement to me in this blogging journey! I really appreciate her guidance and support these past months. She writes a fantastic blog in both English and Greek, plus highlights her repurposing and DIY projects on each post, talk about hard work and creativity at its greatest! I also want to thank Katrin, she blogs about her creative endeavors, crafting, room makeovers, and repurposing. Katrin is always so sweet and uplifting, and her blog is awesome. I hope that you take the time to visit The Boondocks Blog and KreativK.

How My Blog Started
My blog started back in March of 2015. I actually titled the blog, “How I Get It Done” because it would showcase how I did certain tasks on a daily basis. Then I decided it was too broad and I really just wanted to focus on one topic, and if I wanted to post about other things I could do that later. I love repurposing and refinishing, so that became my niche, and Repurposing Junkie was born.
Advice I would Give Other Bloggers
Go to link parties! I didn’t know what link parties were the first few months I blogged and I’m glad I discovered them. If you need a good list, check out the list below any of my posts. Link up your projects and articles. Comment on other blogs, connect with other bloggers and become social no matter how much of an introvert you are (ahem talking to myself). I think I would have given up if not for a little tenacity and a whole lot of support from others giving encouragement with their comments and just by visiting my blog on a daily basis. I’m so glad I stuck with this endeavor because I have learned so much and have grown a lot. I feel like I’m back in class again! 🙂
I am nominating 4 blogs. The rules state to nominate 15! I chose to only nominate 4 because I didn’t want to overwhelm you with a long list. I want you to be able to take the time to visit each of these blogs because I follow each one and I can tell you how much I really enjoy reading their posts and I think you will too.
- Craft Odyssey is a beautifully written blog featuring Roma’s knitted and crochet projects, as well as a variety of other topics. I love her blog because she is so incredibly clever and honestly one of the best writers I’ve ever read.
- Simpleigh Organized is written by Leigh, how creative is her blog title?! Leigh writes financial, organization, and home décor advice. She is well versed in so many different areas and organizes people’s living spaces professionally. I have been taking notes from her articles because they are so relevant to every day life.
- Smith Family Renovation is a family blog written by Mackenzie showcasing her and her family. Mackenzie writes about excellent recipes, cool repurposing or refinishing projects, recommendations for youtube channels, or other blogs and what on Pinterest is inspiring her that week.
- From Victory Road is an artist blog written by Kayann. I love her artwork!! She has a beautiful technique that I’m still trying to understand how she creates. Her paintings are beautiful and awe-inspiring!!
I told you I was excited about today’s post and now you can see why, these 6 blogs are amazing!! 🙂
Thanks for checking out this post!!
