Repurposed Posts and Shelf
I had 3 posts that I wanted to repurpose, 2 of which I used to make a work table.
The last remaining post was cut into 4 pieces. None of the posts were symmetrical which gave each cut a different look. The 4 pieces were combined with the top shelf of an entertainment center which I didn’t get a before picture of…sorry. 🙁
Here’s the top shelf painted and attached to the 4 post pieces.
I sanded and painted the bench legs. I left them a little rough to show off their old age.
I also sanded and painted the shelf which is now the seat of the bench.
I pre-drilled holes and attached the legs to the shelf using screws.
I also used a drill bit that was the size of the screw head and drilled just about 1/8″ so I could countersink the screws, fill the holes and have a completely flat surface.
Everything was sanded and painted several times.
This is the finished look of the bench.
This will make its home in our entryway/living room…perfect for sitting down to put on shoes.
Thanks for checking out this post!!
