Repurposed Table into a Step Stool
The table I purchased last weekend at a garage sale for the purpose of refinishing has actually yielded more repurposing projects than I could have imagined.
I got the table home and realized it was more water damaged than I had thought so I had to get creative to salvage what I could of the table. First a cabinet came from the table and now I would like to share how I used a portion of the bottom of this table to make a step stool.
The bottom of the legs were cut just below the cross bars and another cabinet door from the many I now have to work with was used in this project.
Both the legs and the cabinet door were sanded.
I then pre-drilled holes in both the door and legs and attached them to one another.
I refinished it with an off-white color…I love neutral colors…can you tell? I did leave the gold showing to give the step stool a little spunk.
I still have several pieces left of this table and I’m dreaming up different things I can do with what remains. So until next time…
