Repurposed Valentine’s Day Cards into Garland
My mom kept scrapbooks for all of us kids when we were growing up. Sometimes I’ll get my scrapbooks out and look through them. Among the collection are years worth of Valentine’s Day cards which I always thought would be neat to display. This past Valentine’s Day I got some of the cards out and decided to make a garland with them.
I taped the Valentine’s Day cards onto cardstock, punched holes into the cardstock and then crocheted them together to make garland.
Every time my daughters saw the garland they pointed to it, named some of the characters and asked about others. They loved the display of old Valentine’s Day cards and that was incredibly rewarding. I especially loved when my eldest daughter would walk into the room look up at the garland and say, “Wow Mommy, cool!!”
It was fun making this Valentine’s Day garland!!
